Is the end date counted?
By default, no: from 1 January to 2 January is one day. Tick “Include end date” to count both days, which is how most deadlines and bookings are counted.
How are years and months calculated?
The calculator takes the largest number of whole months that fits between the dates, then counts the remaining days. From 31 January to 1 March is 1 month and 1 day, because 31 January plus one month is the last day of February.
Does it handle leap years?
Yes. 29 February is a real day in leap years (2024, 2028 …), so 28 February 2024 to 1 March 2024 is two days.
What counts as a weekday?
Monday to Friday. Public holidays are not excluded, because they differ by country.
